The healing process can vary from patient to patient. Some of the reasons for this are:

  • The person's skin color (whether the patient has light or dark skin),
  • Smoking and alcohol use,
  • The age of the patient,
  • The elasticity of the scalp.

These determine the way and speed at which the donor region and newly implanted areas will heal after hair transplantation.

  • Although the number of grafts collected and the method used varies, it takes an average of 6-8 hours.

The main theme of hair transplantation is where the hair follicles, which we call the graft, should be collected. As a feature of creation, grafts are taken from the donor region which is the lower nape of the head and will be implanted into all of the balded and sparse regions.

If the hair follicles found in the nape area are less, if not enough, grafts can be taken from the area above the ear during the Fue hair transplantation operation.

The planning of the hair follicles to be taken is determined by the doctor before the beginning of the hair transplant.

Although it is known that the roots can be collected from the chest, arm and leg, it is not scientifically proven whether it may fall out again in the future so it is not advised in our clinic.

After Hair Transplantation, Hair Regaining Its Natural Form.

After hair transplantation, small acne-like wounds are formed within 15 days, but they heal quickly as the scabs fall off. This scabbing is caused by the attachment of the transplanted grafts to their new location.

The implanted hair enters the growth cycle immediately after the first loss and grows about 1 to 2 cm per month. The hair that comes out in this process is not in its natural form. The first period of hair growth can be more disfigured and weak according to your natural hair texture.

It is necessary to take care of the hair very well after the hair transplantation due to the reasons such as the hair follicles being transplanted and not going to waste. For this purpose, it will be correct to use special shampoos, sprays, lotions, tablets etc. products that strengthen the hair follicles and produced exclusively for this purpose. These products are recommended to patients by our clinic experts.

Newly implated hair will begin to grow the 2nd month after the operation. The patient will have full results within 8 to 12 months after the operation.

The transplanted grafts will be intact in about seven days. . For this reason, the first seven days of washing is very important and it should be performed extremely cautious. Only palms and finger tips should be used when washing. There should never be nails or scraping.

This is the most basic question of those who want to have hair transplantation. The person wants to reach the new image of hair as soon as possible. First of all, the implanted hair will fall out, let's say that the root will grow from the bottom. In the end, the hair implanted immediately begins to grow, but it takes 8-12 months for it to become natural and complete. This process can vary according to hair structure, environmental factors and every patient.

For the answer to the question when will the hair come out after they have been implanted let's get into the process after hair transplantation;

The temporary hair loss experienced about a month after hair transplantation is also called shock shedding. This process allows hair strands to reach their natural growth form. It is expected to happen. When this hair loss starts and ends, it can vary from body to body.

Although the growth time of hair after the hair transplantation operation vary from person to person, usually;

  • The first hair loss starts in the first month and then ends. The second month the implanted hairs beging to grow.
  • Hair strands grow from the fourth month onwards and begin to take shape by becoming prominent.
  • At the end of the first six months, 50 to 80 percent of the hair roots will come out. The implanted hair becomes clearly visible to the naked eye.
  • The hair roots, which enter into good growth form from the eighth month onwards,
  • are thickened by taking their normal shape and grow in natural appearance. The curly hair syndrome that occurs in some of our patients will disappear after this month.
  • After the first year, your hair roots become too natural to be noticed and continue to grow.

The truth to remember is that the implanted hair is your own hair. It will take a year for the hair to grow back into its natural form. Whatever is the normal growth period of your hair, implanted hair will grow in the same way. The implanted hair will be fully adapted to the planted place at the end of a year and will begin to grow 1-2 cm per month.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is expressed as a biological drug derived from one's own blood and decomposed as a serum. In this way, the scalp tissue and the roots of the hair are repaired. With the PRP process, a supportive effect can be achieved after hair transplantation.

Anyone over the age of 18 who does not have any disease diagnosed can have hair transplantation.

There is a misconception that only men have hair transplantations. On the contrary, women can also get hair transplantations done and very positive results are obtained.
